Mr. John Aderinto Adegbite has joined CAFS as the Country Team Leader, Nigeria with the Key task of getting the Nigeria office up and running. His vision for CAF’s is clear: “As the major link between the CAFS Head office and Nigeria, my goal is to support in building a CAFS with a Global, Regional and Local level appeal by strengthening its broad range of categories of products and brands. At the country level I intend to accentuate synergy in the coordination of resources for SRH/FP capacity building.”
Mr Adegbite holds a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in International Studies (1982) and a Masters degree in Public Administration (1988) both from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in Nigeria. He is a CAFS alumnus having attended resource mobilization, fundraising and project development courses in 2005 and 2007. In addition, he has 19 years working experience in administration and managment of Reproductive Health programs having begun his career as a graduate assistant at the Institute of Administration, Kongo campus, ABU Zaria, during his National Youth Service year. He then worked as an Assistant Secretary, Sokoto State University Teaching Hospital (1988) - a position where he was actively involved in the Community Health Officers’ Training Program and in the implementation of the Primary Health care program of the University Teaching Hospital.
He joined the Planned Parenthood Federation of Nigeria in 1991 and he has since then held various positions in the organization as Program Officer Advocacy, Administrative Manager (1995), Human Resources and Administration Controller (2000) and rose to head the department of Marketing and Public Relations as the Executive Director (2010).
