From the 18th to 19th of October, CAFS held an extraordinary board meeting at the CAFS Centre Nairobi, Kenya. In attendance were the chairman Mr. Sam Owori, Mr. Pape Gaye, Mr. Tewodros Melesse, Mr. Thomas Wushe, Dr. Vijoo Rattansi, Dr. Sarah Onyango and Prof. Eliwo Akoto as secretary.
During the intensive two-day meeting, important decisions were made in regard to the future of CAFS. Special guests in attendance included the Packard Foundation Regional Advisor for Sub-Saharan Africa, Mr. Sahlu Haile and Ms. Stella Smith the consultant from Action Planning Consulting for the turnaround strategy. To ensure success of the turnaround process for CAFS, all board members decided to retain their positions for an additional year to see through the start of the turnaround strategy.
