Resource mobilisation for IPPF MAs in Francophone Africa

The five-day Resource Mobilisation Course for IPPF Member associations was held in Lome with Executive directors, Finance Directors and Volunteers of 13 countries namely Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon, Guinea, Niger, Senegal and Togo. CAFS training team composed of four trainers took participants through:

 

      Understanding concepts and practices of resource mobilization

  • Designing a marketing strategy
  • Problem identification and definition
  • Proposal Development
  • Effective communication in fundraising
  • Designing a project logical framework
  • Developing a project monitoring and evaluation plan
  • Developing a project implementation plan
  • Project management and structure

Training methods used were role-play, sharing experiences, practical exercises. Participants drafted an action plan to be finalized with their colleagues, once back to their base. They all expressed deep satisfaction with the course.
